Drew is a 12+ year veteran of the Marine Corps (September 2001 – Feb 2014), serving as both a Musician and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. He deployed to Afghanistan, Spain, Africa, Canada, Crete, and as part of the 22 Marine Expeditionary Unit.

Drew has been married for 18 years to his amazing wife Misty who is the mother of their awesome children, Karis, Canaan, and Carsen. He enjoys writing, photography, cooking, riding mountain bike, fly fishing, traveling, and trying new foods and drink.

We will have multiple guest authors covering various topics. While no one is purely unbiased, Mental Grenade’s quest is to provide various points of view and be objective.

Ritter is Drew’s service dog, thanks to Baden K-9. Ritter is German for “Knight”. He is a team mate, protector, and dedicated friend.
